The Neverwinter Grizzly Bear was one of the oldest critters and mounts in game, and the team decided it was high time to give it a visual update. I sculpted, modeled, textured, and skinned the brand new bear model and also the brand new saddle. Part of the challenge involved with updating the bear was that the team decided that we were going to preserve the original model’s rig and animation set. The original model had anatomically incorrect proportions, and in the updated model I tried to deviate from those where I could without breaking the functionality of the existing rig and animations.
